.::: Last Day :::. Monday, June 30, 2008

Today marks my last day working here for e2 power, OCBC Bank. Having mixed feelings ; excited about my new job, but also sad that I'm going away from here, somewhere i feel secure and comfortable for now. Hope i have such nice colleagues in my next job.

To match the sad feeling of leaving this company of people, I'm having fever and flu on my last day of work. Got an Panadol Actifast from Melvin but still not working yet.

My colleagues treated me a great lunch today at Ginger Restaurant at Central Market. They serve Thai food there, good choice because I simply lurve tom yam and anything thai ! But it's so bloody expensive , we they actually spent RM400++ there for 12 people -___-"" Felt shy that i do not have to pay >.< Thanks thanks for the yummy food !

At 6.30pm , i stepped out of the office. My first job.

Right now , i declare myself UNEMPLOYED!!! ........... Until 1st July 08, which is tomorrow .. ew.

Mummy Mummy!! I LOVE YOU!!!
I feel fortunate to have this lovely lady as my mummy.
Let me introduce to you all, the woman i love most in my life.

Yin made a cheese cake for mum's birthday today, then gonna take her to the fish spa too.
too bad i can't be there :(
Tried to take the night bus home to Penang yesterday but no more tickets left. Must be mainly because Konsortium got banned, the rest of the bus companies enjoying good sales.
Went to Pudu and also to Duta in hope of buying tickets but.... I DUNNO WHY THE HELL EVERYONE WANTS TO TAKE THE BUS TOO! HATE YOU HATE YOU ! :D
So i bring my big bag and jacket and go home again -.-
Sorry mummy, but see you two weeks later and will give u a big sloppy wet kiss! Mine and Rainbow's :)

I am actually thinking what i should write here of Mummy, and while i am thinking.. all those memories that came popping up made me smile.
Some trivia about mummy :

Mum trace her fingers on the words while reading, with the pst pst pst sound while she reads.
Where do you look for my mum's books ? In the bathtub.
Where does mum keep the wine? In the bathroom.
Mum tells me and sisters bedtime stories when we were small, WITH actions . I love the story of the Papa Frog who Puffs and Puffs.
When mum 'forgotten' to tell us our bedtime stories, me and Yin will keep her favourite sleeping pants until she tells us . Haha.
Won't forget Mum's first red beans / orange beans.
Won't forget Mum's face when she cried when i made that big mistake.
Mum's legs are sexy, looks nice with any shoes she tries on.
If you complain to mummy saying you cannot find something, she will say in Hokkien "Wa choei tiok wa chngee hor lu chiak (If i find it, you squeeze it into your mouth for you to eat!) " Hahahaha
Mummy is really up to date. The first time i heard of Coach is from Mum.
There was once when mummy went to the US to work for a week or so when i was still in kindergarten. I quietly cried at night just because i miss her.

Yin / Min - anymore i should add? lol

-- Currently alone at home, Jen is at his friend's big bungalow swimming and BBQ-ing. Didn't wanna go because will be mostly all guys there. Didn't wanna spoil his fun although i warned him beforehand that if there are any girls there with sexy bikinis, he is not allowed to look . Haha. I cooked my favourite ABC Soup for dinner. ALL MINE!

there was once when mun n dad was going to KL, she was afraid we couldnt wake up in time for skul (which I dunno y coz we wake ourselves up every day), so she left her DEAFENING alarm clock in between our beds.RRRRRIIINNNNGGGGGG.....terkejut! (you wouldnt know how loud is the alarm clock until u hear it urself! hahaha.

.::: The Decision :::. Wednesday, June 25, 2008

I finally made the decision. I passed the letter to my supervisor on Monday. Had a talk with her later on Tuesday morning. Finalised on Tuesday afternoon that I'm resigning.
The next offer is really a good one, but will be a tough one for sure.

I do love everything about working at OCBC right now, especially in my team.
Unlike other teams who has a lot of people in it, ours consists of only 9 ppl. 9 Wonderful people, including me :D
My manager is always supportive, listens to us, understanding, ahh... just a very very good manager =)
While teammates always guide me and i really learnt a lot at the 11 months that i'm in there. I learn more within this period than my 3 years at Uni, really.

My last day will be on the 30th June 08 and i got to start work on the 1st July 08 :(
Sobs.. no time to rest! But as it's only such a short notice given to them, rather pai seh to ask for one day rest >.<

This should be posted a few weeks ago, when me and Jen went to Isetan Anniversary Sale. You are only allowed to go in if u have that 'ticket to wonders'. Supposedly this :

Hey, one card only enters one person. It's not the usual 'bring-one-friend-in' sale.
The whole place was so packed, on that Friday evening after work. Nevertheless, we also joined in. =) Did not really bother to look at clothings as I do not feel in the mood to queue up just to try on the clothes. So we just both have a quick walk around Isetan.

Jen knows that i do not have enough bags as i always take the same casual bag everytime i go out, so he suggested we have a look at the bags. Even with 70% discount, some bags are still RM200+. Yeah i know the original price is so much more.... BUT still....
Anyway there's this one dumb brand , ironically the name is 'SMART' . The bags are cheap and looks nice. So at last i bought three bags from there. Wow.... from no bags to THREE bags. Buy three at one time!!
The total amount was about RM120. I won't be buying bags for 2 years at least =). Anyway, these three bags are presents from my dear HEHE... He always spends on me, I'm feeling guilty.

I personally like the white one best, followed by the blue one. Should have taken these pics after i bought them when they have those papers stuffed inside. Will look so much better . But ah, still love them! Thanks, dear.
And because they have this dangling silver things with the brand SMART on it... it looks Dumb... so i cut that out. I prefer a bag with no brand, then a bag with a brand acting smart . lol.

.::: Naili's Place :::. Friday, June 20, 2008

Every working people looks forward to Friday night. And then before you realize , it's already Monday morning. Ahhhh let's talk about Friday first for now.
After work, me and Jen went to Naili's Place at Sentul for our dinner.

Naili's is actually a beach-style cafe offering local and western cuisines with music playing at the background. The pics not that clear as stupid K910i does not come with a camera flash =(

We ordered our usual ABC . Their ABC is really special, they have this strawberry syrup poured on it. This is certainly a must-have on your next visit at Naili's. Anyway, we Penangites don't call this ABC , we usually prefer to call it Ais Kacang. Somehow everywhere in KL they call it ABC for Ais Batu Campur.

We also ordered Tom Yam noodles, mee for me, beehoon for Jen. We proudly declare ourselves as Tom Yam Lovers. We almost eat Tom Yam 3-4 times per week. We only had Tom Yam Chiang Mai from a branch of Nara Seafood the day before. Talk about that the next time i go there. Back to Naili's , today's Tom Yam is nice but not as nice as the one i had the last time i went there. Oh, they even peel the prawns for you.

Normally we would have Cucur Ikan Bilis too, but we did not order it yesterday. Got this pic from their website. They actually serve a big portion for this snack, we always cannot finish them.

Jen loves the place, because of the environment setting. It's something different from the usual mamak / restaurant. A place where you can court a girl at. Romantic atmosphere. Too bad there is no beach in KL. This place actually kind of reminds me of Bali where they have nice seafood just beside the beach.

The saddest part is always when you got to pay for what you enjoyed.

Last Sunday, Me and Jen took the LRT to kaikai. Been long since we go out together by LRT. The main reason for us going out is that i got to get back to my office to get my spectacles for some reason and also i've been craving for Kim Gary's French Toast the whole week. So we took the LRT. Good thing too, save on petrol money and also parking money. =) Stopped at Masjid Jamek, took this beautiful pic of it, even though i did not realise that it is actually that pretty even though i walk pass it everyday.

After i got my specs, we decided to walk at Chu Cheong Kai @ Petaling Street. The infamous Chee Cheong Kai has nothing much to offer, in my opinion. Same things the whole stretch, either bags, shoes or perfumes. The bad thing is that we do not dare to ask the prices, heard that they will get angry if you ask for prices then you don't buy. So even though if i see a nice bag, i do not dare to bargain .

At last , we bought Bak Kua instead. Pork ones, they are much easier to bite than chicken bak kua. We then went to the pet shop and bought a Beaphar's vitamin paste for Rainbow. This paste is actually a multi-vitamin that contains er... vitamins, calcium and mineral (according to the box). When Rainbow was small, i fed her this before. Since she likes it and i see no harm adding this to her diet, I bought this. Hope it helps her paw licking problem. Oh ya, she licks less now , the medicine helped a lot AND she is Super active now =) I'm happy.

Ah, I am usually good at handling stress but lately it has been a bit too much for me.
Yesterday i was on leave to attend an important 'something' . That 'something' cannot be revealed, yet =(
But it was so stressful i almost died. Even more stressful than my normal days at work.
And just because I took one day leave, the amount of work piled up, so today was stressful as well.

Conclusion = I'm Super Heavily Stressed ArGhHHHhHhhhhHhh !

Speaking of work, are all of you the same at work and at home?
Not for me, I have to act mature at work =(
At home i can :
i) make crazy and dumb faces
ii) use my hands to eat just because i want to
iii) when my teeth can't bite on the fruits or other hard food i can ask Dear to bite for me
iv) can be sampat whenever i want to
v) can jump whenever i feel happy or excited
vi) can say niao niao
vii) and whole lots more...

Not that I'm not being myself at work , but somehow it doesn't feel right for me to jump when i feel happy at work -__- .

I wish there are more sampat people like me, the world will be a much better place to live, less stressful =)

Meanwhile, I'll just have to post this up my wall and work, work and work :

Went to Ikea with Dear two weeks ago.
I love the curry puffs from Ikea. Dear likes the meat ball meal.

The only bad thing is that there are always sooo many people. There are many things that i feel like buying, but everytime i will tell him "Buy that when we move in the house, not now"
So at last we bought only this, couldn't resist. A new addition to our full-of-toys-pillow-bed.

My fatty bolster

The bolster is really very big, not like our normal ones. The insides are forgot-what feather. Notice that the ends are also different, it's to be tied up like a sweet.

Rainbow is licking her paws excessively since last week.
Now her paws are sore especially her front ones, until sometimes she will have a slight limp when walking.
She is not that active and will not play even when i take out her favourite toys.
My heart aches. She is my baby.

Took her to the vet, the vet gave an antibacterial wash to soak her foot and antibiotics to finish in a week. She might be allergic to something.
I hope she will be back to her active self soon.

Hi all, i know i broke my promise from the previous post haha.

And oh ya, HAPPY 2008 !! It's June now , lol.
I'm right now working in IT Dept in a Bank (vague description, eh?)
Colleagues are nice people, pay can be better, what more can i say .



Not much time now, don't even find the time to play online games anymore,
i quit Conquer Online and sold all of the items i earned from there to
online peeps from EU/US and then used the money for my braces. Got myself
the ceramic braces, a little more expensive than the normal metal ones,
but less obvious and not so embarresing while giving presentations at
work (Hate it if people don't look into my eye and look at my teeth
instead!) Don't think I'm gona post a pic of my teeth here, will be
gross. I will only post it after i take the braces out when it is
all nice and pretty hehe. Thanks to my dear too of course.

Rainbow is almost 3 years old, getting prettier and cuter day by day.
I am not lying as i'm not the only one saying that ! Ha!
She is cute and loves people and for those of you people who are scared
of dogs, she is people-friendly k!

On the other hand, I'm currently now still renting a room in KL, hopefully
the house will be ready in 2-3 years time. I would like to have a house of
my own here, somewhere  I can call home. Everytime when we go shopping and
we see something nice for the house, I will always say the same thing 'We
buy that when we move to the new place'. So everytime i will not buy that
particular thing as this is just a rented place, not permanent =(

Me, Shu-Yin and Shu-Min booked a ticket to watch
Beauty and the Beast - The Broadway Musical at KL Convention Centre. I know
it will be an amazing show. We know all their songs by heart, We love
Disney, we love Music and  I ABSOBLOOMY LOVE Broadway Musicals!!!!
I CANT WAIT

Lastly, me and my boyfriend doing good, he still loves the way my saliva drips when i
sleep, he still loves me forcing him to say sorry, he still loves me biting him
hahahaha... poor guy.
